ADJECTIVE Art & Framing was founded in 2011 by Alexander D. Jacobson. We build frames for artists, galleries, museums, and collectors throughout New England and beyond. Starting out in a basement, Alex honed the craft of building high-quality contemporary picture frames. After moving to South Boston, our business began to flourish. With the extra space, we were able to expand the scope of projects that we are able to work on. We pride ourselves on having the flexibility to work on a wide range of projects, big or small and hope to work with you to find creative solutions to your picture framing needs.

Our team continues to develop as we announced a partnership this year between ADJECTIVE and fellow Boston based group Jameson & Thompson Picture Framers. In addition to custom framing, J&T offers conservation referrals, art appraisal services, and employs a full-time art installer with expertise in hanging artwork for institutions and private clients alike. Through combining our staff and resources, we have expanded our project capacity and now handle a wider array of framing and installation projects.

ADJFRAMES.COM is in the unique position of being an online art sales gallery run by a museum quality custom framer. Specific frame profiles have all been built in consultation with each artist and carefully selected to complement each piece.
